Artwork Capabilities
Wausau Awards & Engraving, Inc. has in-house
capabilities for professional graphic design, as
well as high-quality digital photo editing. Whether
your photograph is digital, a physical print, or a 35mm slide, we
can import your artwork and make clean digital alterations such
as:
- Removing backgrounds or objects (such
as power lines, furniture, etc.)

A Library of ClipArt
We have immediate access to thousands of clipart
images, everything from automobiles to hunting to fishing to zoos.
Whatever your needs, we can likely find a clipart idea to fit your
gift concept.
Corporate Logos
We have an extensive library of corporate logos.
It may not be necessary for you to submit your company's logo. Contact
us for and we can let you know if we have it on file.
Accepting Artwork
We can accept in just about any form of artwork
- but some formats may require additional charges for processing.
VECTOR ARTWORK
Vertwork artwork includes points and lines,
and can be resized by computers with no loss of quality.
This artwork is typically set up in programs such as Adobe Illustrator
and CorelDRAW. Typical file extensions include AI, EPS, WMF, and
CDR.
We can often make use of engineering AutoCAD formats such as .DWG
and .DXF.
Be sure that any reproducible text in the files is outlined. (Call
us if you have questions.)
RASTER ARTWORK
Raster artwork consists of pixels of color. The quality can be
high or low depending on the size of the file and the number of
pixels. These files cannot be easily resized, and sometimes are
of too poor of quality to use.
This artwork is typically set up in Adobe Photoshop, Paint, or
taken from a scanned in picture or letterhead. Typical extensions
include JPG and TIF. TIF is preferred.
Sometimes either type of file, Raster, or Vector, is sufficient
for us to use without extra processing. We will let you know before
performing any work that requires additional charges.

Artwork Processing Charges
Prior to production, we will provide you with
a quote on any additional artwork charges that may apply, depending
on the complexity of the job.
PMS Color Matching
We do not offer guaranteed PMS color matching
at this time, however we do use the Pantone Color System and will
make every attempt to come very close to requested PMS colors, and
can work with you depending on your specific needs.
Emailed Proofs
Emailed proofs will normally incur a charge
of $7.50 each, depending on the project.
Pre-production samples will incur set up charges
plus the per piece charge for the item as well as any shipping charges.
You will approve any work that requires charges. |
